On March 27, 2021, Guangzhou Tieyi Middle School and Durban Music School in KwaZulu Natal Province of South Africa jointly held a cloud concert "Musical Friendship Over the Rainbow", to commemorate the 7th anniversary of their sister-ship and the 21st anniversary of the twin-city relations between Guangzhou and Durban. Consul General FEI Mingxing sent his video message as follows:

I am very pleased to learn that Guangzhou Tieyi Middle School and Durban Music School are working on a joint online concert. On behalf of the Chinese Consulate in Durban, I would like to wish it a great success.

Being popular in respective city, both schools, since their sister-ship in 2014, have played positive roles in the twin-city relations between Guangzhou and Durban. Many Chinese people still remember those teachers and students of Durban Music School in their video clip for "Zhongguo Jiayou" (Come on China) last year.

The year of 2021 witnesses the 5th anniversary of sister-ship between Guangdong Province and KwaZulu Natal Province. I am glad that Guangzhou Tieyi Middle School and Durban Music School take the lead for the celebration with this cloud concert.

And I am also looking forward to seeing both schools and their teachers and students play their due roles in the SYMPHONY CONCERT for China and South Africa friendship.
